Paulien Alberts has already created a freestyle to music for many combinations. These freestyles have been used from national L-level to European and world championships. In addition, several amazons became champions of their province or Dutch champions with a freestyle by Paulien.

Paulien used to play the violin for many years and developed a good musical ear. In addition, she has been an avid dressage rider for years and also likes to ride a freestyle to music herself, because you can show more of yourself there than in a standard dressage test. She is also a freestyle judge herself and therefore knows better than anyone which lines are beautiful and less beautiful to look at and where you can see certain parts well and less well.

If you have Paulien create a freestyle to music, the procedure is as follows:

First you write a test yourself or Paulien writes one for you. The latter in consultation with you, so that your strong points are brought forward in the test and less good points are carried out in a place where they are less noticeable.

You practice this test several times until you can ride it well and then you record it. Paulien then gets to work using the video.

You come to Paulien with this video or if you live too far away you send it. When you come over you will choose the music together. If you live too far away, Paulien will let you hear the music before she puts the program together.

When selecting the music, particular attention is paid to:
- Does the rhythm of the music match the tempo of my horse?
- Does it make my horse more agile?
- Does this music make my horse more beautiful?
- Is this music catchy?

It takes about two to three weeks to prepare the freestyle, so that all tempo changes, transitions and exercises come across nicely with the music.
